"Sponsor a Social Carer" programme

Our Social Carer's are the critical link between the people living in our impoverished communities and the provision of "Community and Social Development" services and support.

With the ongoing "grant funding" challenges facing the HRT and most Non Profit Organisations in South Africa, the Board of Trustees have identified a need to find independent funding specifically for our Social Carer's to ensure we continue to provide the critical services and support to the people in theSocial carersse impoverished communities.

Without the HRT Social Carers, who live in the communities, are all trained, highly experienced and well respected and trusted, the HRT would not be able to continue any of its "Social Purpose" programmes effectively. This would have devastating effects on over 1,000 people in these impoverished communities and definately force many people including children to join gangs and to turn to crime just to survive.

We are calling on all individuals and businesses, especially in the Western Cape to consider partnering with the HRT to sponsor a Social Carer as part of their "Social Responsibility" committments.

We have developed a number of affordable "Sponsorship Options" that start at as little as R500.00 per month. To find out how you can Sponsor a Social Carer and ensure that hundreds of vulnerable people will continue to get support, please review the "Sponsors a Social Carer" Options.

The HRT "Social Enterprise"

The Hermanus Rainbow Trust has developed a "sustainability strategy" to limit the challenges of getting "grant funding" from government, funding agencies and business in these difficult economic times. The strategy is built around the establishment of a "Social Enterprise" in line with global trends.

Non-Profit Organisations - The Current Funding Model is NOT Sustainable

Why ? What are the alternatives ?

The Hermanus Rainbow Trust, like many other NPO’s / NGO’s, is threatened by the current "grant funding" models in South Africa, where most NPO’s are totally dependent on "grant funding from Government, Funding Agencies, Business, Individual Donors, Sponsors and fund raising events.

Please help us help those in NEED !
